A work truck in Muskoka hauls stone, lumber, tools, equipment and firewood, often on gravel roads and salted highways. A spray-in polyurea liner takes that abuse instead of the factory paint. Standard and UV beds are done the same day at our Huntsville shop, so the truck is back on the job tomorrow. Prices start at $599 plus HST.
What Muskoka work trucks carry
The work here is specific. Landscapers move armour stone, gravel and mulch. Builders and renovators haul lumber, drywall and tool boxes to cottages down long gravel roads. Dock and marine crews carry hardware, cribbing and outboard parts. Arborists and firewood sellers fill beds with rounds and splits all fall. Property managers do all of it in a single week.
Every one of those loads scratches and dents a bare bed. Then winter adds road salt and brine on Highway 11 and every main road in between.
A work truck also tends to get replaced on a schedule, which makes the bed part of what it is worth at trade-in. A bed that has been protected from day one is one less thing for the next buyer to knock the price down over.
What a liner does for a working truck
- Takes the hits. 2.5 mm of polyurea on the floor and tailgate and about 2 mm on the walls, sprayed hot at high pressure over sanded and primed paint.
- Keeps loads from sliding. The textured surface grips tool boxes, coolers and pallets.
- Seals the bed. No gap for water and salt to sit in, the way they do under a mat.
- Hoses clean. Mud, sawdust and soil rinse out at the end of the day.
Our lifetime warranty covers peeling, cracking or delamination for as long as you own the truck. Damage from impact, cutting or chemicals is not covered, which is worth knowing if you regularly drop sharp steel or carry strong chemicals.
Downtime
For a business, the biggest cost of a liner is often the day without the truck. Standard and UV beds are done the same day: drop off in the morning at 215 Main Street West in Huntsville, pick up later that day. Full loads can go in after 24 hours. Colour beds take three days.
From most of Muskoka that is a short drive. The nearest LINE-X is in Barrie, about 134 km from Huntsville, which means more hours off the road.
