Our standard liner is pure aromatic polyurea: 2.5 mm on the floor and tailgate, about 2 mm on the walls. Premium UV adds an aliphatic topcoat so the bed stays dark in the sun. Standard is $599 ($649 on an 8 ft bed) plus HST, UV adds $190, and both are done the same day. Protection is the same; the topcoat is about colour.
What each finish is
Standard
Pure aromatic polyurea sprayed hot at high pressure over sanded and primed factory paint. It is tough, textured and non-slip, and it seals the floor, walls and tailgate. Aromatic polyurea is not UV-stable, so in strong sun the surface can chalk and lighten over time. That change is cosmetic; the liner keeps protecting the bed the same way. Every aromatic liner behaves like this, whatever the brand. How quickly it shows depends on how much direct sun the truck gets.
Premium UV
The same standard liner, plus a thin aliphatic topcoat sprayed over it the same day. Aliphatic coatings are made to hold colour outdoors, so the bed stays dark rather than drifting toward grey.
The topcoat is thin. It does not add protection against dents or scrapes in any meaningful way; that is the job of the polyurea underneath. If the topcoat is scuffed through in a high-wear spot, the liner below it is still doing its job.
Colour
For something other than black, a tinted topcoat goes over the liner. Colour beds take three days: liner on day one, topcoat on day two, home on day three.

Which one to pick
- Standard if the truck is a work tool, lives in a garage or under a tonneau cover, or you would rather spend the difference on bumpers or rocker panels.
- Premium UV if the truck sits outside all summer, you plan to keep it for years, or you care how the bed looks at resale.
- Colour if you want the bed to match or contrast the truck, and you can spare it for three days.
Quick answers
Is the UV liner thicker or stronger?
No. The protection comes from the polyurea liner, which is the same in both. The topcoat is about colour stability.
Does fading on the standard finish affect the warranty?
No. Fading is cosmetic and is not a defect. The warranty covers peeling, cracking or delamination; impact, cutting and chemical damage are not covered.
