What drives the price
Bed size
A longer bed takes more material and more time to prep and mask. That is why the 8 ft bed is $50 more than the short and standard beds.
Finish
The standard liner is pure aromatic polyurea. It is tough, but like every aromatic liner it can lighten in strong sun over the years. That change is cosmetic. The UV option adds an aliphatic topcoat that holds its colour. Colour beds use a tinted topcoat and take three days instead of one.
Prep and thickness
These are the parts of the price you cannot see. Sanding a bed properly takes time. Spraying 2.5 mm on the floor and tailgate takes more material than spraying a thin coat. Two quotes for the same truck can differ because one shop is doing more of this work than the other.
Why quotes differ between shops
When you compare prices, compare what you are getting:
- Material. Pure polyurea and hybrid blends behave differently. Ask which one.
- Thickness. Ask for a number in millimetres for the floor and the walls.
- Prep. Is the whole surface sanded and primed?
- Warranty. What is covered, for how long, and who honours it?
- Travel. For most of Muskoka, the nearest LINE-X is in Barrie, about 134 km from Huntsville. Two round trips to drop off and pick up is a real cost in time and fuel.
Extras and add-ons
The bed price covers the bed. If you want more coated while the truck is in, add-ons are priced separately: bumpers are $85 each (plus HST, like every price here), rocker panels and cab corners are $150, and inner wheel wells are $90. Fender flares, nerf bars and trim are quoted per piece. ATV and UTV boxes start at $250, trailer decks at $449 for a 5 x 8 ft (up to $1,299 for an 8.5 x 20 ft), boat trailers at $399 and Jeep tubs at $650. Adding them during a liner visit avoids a second round of setup and a second trip to Huntsville.
Deposits and payment
Leave a 25% deposit to hold your date, or pay in full or at drop-off. Any balance is due at pickup, and we take credit card, e-transfer and cash. Dealers get a flat $50 off retail on every truck. Beyond that there are no discounts or promo codes; the price you see is the price, whether you book in December or in July.
Quick answers
Is the UV topcoat worth $190?
If the truck lives outside and you care about it staying dark, usually yes. We wrote a whole post on standard vs premium UV.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Extras are priced separately and only if you ask for them.
